Legends from the Norfolk Broads

Legends from the Norfolk Broads is a diverse collection of short stories that capture the spirit of this fascinating part of England. Throughout, the author will be showing the reader around in much a lively manner, juxtaposed by expanses of breathtaking landscape with stories both fantastic and instructive. Every story comes out with its own peculiar essence-whether it is a historical intrigue in “The Roman Codex” or spine-chilling suspense in “The Berney Arms Haunting.” With each new theme, there can surely be something for just about every kind of readership.

This anthology brings magic and mystery to life regarding the Broads wonderfully well. Tales such as “The Norfolk Broads Phenomenon” and “The Whispering Reeds” sing the charm of this iconic area in such a way that it makes nature and history, in general, the protagonist. Characters and settings seem to melt into the waterways, carrying readers through colourful kaleidoscopes with sounds and legends, whereas “The Floating Bookshop” brings in an ounce of quirkiness as it promises to enchant and transport one into the power of imagination.

Whether you be a local, visitor, or an avid fan of skilled telling of tales, this will surely tantalise your senses into begging for a boating trip upon Norfolk Broads. It’s about being introduced to adventure, bits of history, and those moments of ethereal allure toward nature.

Legends from the Norfolk Broads was inspired from continuously cruising the Norfolk Broads on a Bruce Roberts sailboat for several years. A chance encounter which was never planned but fell into place quite unexpectedly. One man, his dog and a sailboat lead to over four years of full time boating and living on a boat on these enigmatic waterways. Quite simply a privilege which many dream of doing but just dont quite ever get around to it.
